Organisational Overview

Hope for Orphans International is a New Zealand, Registered Charitable Trust.

In 2014, HFOI was formed to create a difference for children in Uganda, who had suffered abandonment, abuse or those who lacked the necessities of life.

We seek to serve our mission through our Ugandan Foster Home and Community Outreach Programmes.

Our Foster Home

Our Ugandan Foster Home is located in the Village of Masaka.

Under the direct care of Foster Home's parents, Steven and Priscilla, are seventeen children. Many who have been orphaned and some who have been subject to neglect and mistreatment.

The heart of the Foster Home Programme, is to provide these children with a safe, loving, Christian family home. One that meets their physical, educational, medical and spiritual needs.

One that they feel they belong to and one that provides them with a firm foundation to support their future.

Our Community Outreach Programme

Our Community Outreach Programme enables us to reach and work with children and families in the villages, surrounding our Foster Home. We tailor our support to the child or the families' circumstances.

Some children are found in unsafe conditions. In these cases, we work with the local probation teams to rehome them into suitable Foster Families. We focus on the child's restoration and work alongside them and their new families, to ensure their full needs are met.

Other children are already living in loving families but lack the necessities of life. In these circumstances, we work in partnership with their caregivers to facilitate access to education, nutrition and medical care.

Our Community Programme aims to uplift families towards self-sufficiency and connect them into community supports.
